about

This one is about my journey with psychosis and bipolar, ultimately hopeful it is quite sad to begin with.

lyrics

Polar Ice Caps by Esoligh

Chorus
Two polar bears munching fish,
That’s a tasty carnivorous dish,
Though polar bears are very solitary, as adults,
As cubs, together in peace very very

Verse One
Yo when I was a young, one son,
I loved everyone, more than some,
Then I got crushed, mushed and flushed,
By a psychotic illness dashed with lust

Went walking lonely at night uptight,
Freezing cold, pushing to be bold,
Munted, spiritually I bled,
Fed to the fishes just about dead

Being hit by an unholy gust,
Ushered in a headspin type thing,
Had me lost tailspinning with broken wings,
My whanau had lost our song to sing

No one had enough, understanding,
Of how my life was descending,
This was ultimately very distressing,
I was needing renewed blessings, no question

Chorus
Two polar bears munching fish,
That’s a tasty carnivorous dish,
Though polar bears are very solitary, as adults,
As cubs, together in peace very very

Verse Two
That became my life, cut like a knife,
Living in a world of utmost strife,
Striving for skateboard heights and delights
Became, being blighted at home most nights,

Transforming this crashing system,
People need people to assist them,
We must regain a good frame of reference,
To be seeing and believing, with deference

These things we are experiencing,
People not able to see what I'm sensing,
Units of bio-power we're moulded to be
Being lost, universally

Unless we choose consciousness tree,
Internal searches, internal churches gee,
Leaving darkness behind we gotta rise,
Flying flights through the skies of the third eyes

Chorus
Two polar bears munching fish,
That’s a tasty carnivorous dish,
Though polar bears are very solitary, as adults,
As cubs, together in peace very very

Verse Three
So I bust this rhyme to shine,
A light from places divine, in the darkest time,
The Rockwell beat thumps,
As the bro’s composition blends, while Esoligh defends

Your right to an upright, better life,
See beyond futures, with foresight
Crushing these mics with a healthy delight,
Keeping rhythmic patterns and syncopation tight

Holding aloft the beautiful truths light,
Above pollution like a star-flying kite
Mashing this beat like the bubble and squeak,
It’s my determination to ride this beat

Cooking up some tasty soup and eat,
So we're walking like diamonds in the street
Discovering details about the life we lead,
Learning from masters with the spiritual seed

Chorus
Two polar bears munching fish,
That’s a tasty carnivorous dish,
Though polar bears are very solitary, as adults,
As cubs, together in peace very very
